The first debate of the II Cycle of debates – Portugal and the Paths of the Future, was subordinated to the theme “The Future of Health in Portugal” and was attended by Mr. Minister of Health Dr. Paulo Macedo, Professor Álvaro Almeida, from Dean of the University of Trás os Montes and Alto Douro and of Lawyer Pedro Seixas Silva.

The event took place on March 28, 2014 at Cais da Villa. The future of a quality national health service, the reform of primary health care and the commitment to long-term care units were topics on which the Minister of Health addressed.

Professor Álvaro Almeida, on the other hand, pointed out the paths that, in his opinion, would lead us to sustainable health in Portugal and the closure was up to lawyer Pedro Seixas Silva.
